The High Commission of India in Nairobi in association with the Hindu Council of Kenya organized a Rajasthani folk music and dance performance by Salim Khan & troupe, sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New

Delhi, on 7 February, 2017 at the Oshwal Centre in Nairobi. The occasion was graced by Cabinet Secretary for East African Community, Labour and Social Protection, H.E. Ms. Phillis Kandie as the chief guest. The event was attended by over 600 people including Members of Parliament Hon’ble Mr. Irshad Sumra, Hon’ble Mr. Elija Memusi, Pravasi Bharatiya Samman awardees Dr. Manu Chandaria and Mr. Pheroze Nowrojee, Ambassadors, members of the diplomatic community, leaders of the Indian diaspora associations and Indian community members.

The folk songs and dances presented by the troupe were well appreciated by audience.
