The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC), as part of its Export Promotion Programme for the year 2016-17, is set to organize its Exclusive Exhibition of Indian Man-made Textile Products, INTEXPO Kenya at the Hotel Laico Regency, Nairobi, Kenya. This event is being organized with the active support and guidance of the High Commission of India, Nairobi as well as the support of local Trade Bodies on 9th and 10th March 2017.

This event has been proposed to develop exports of man-made fibre (MMF) Textiles to Kenya, one of the biggest markets in East Africa under “Focus Africa/WANA Countries Scheme” of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry & Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. Exhibitor companies will display a wide range of Man-made Textile products including Yarn, Dress Material Fabric, Suiting, Shirting, Made-ups and Accessories. The Event provides the opportunity for Importers, Buyers and Agents in Kenya to source their requirements in all product categories that represent the ‘Incredible Textiles of India’.

The event and the B2B meetings being scheduled present a unique opportunity for building long term and mutually beneficial relationships between Indian Exporters and Kenyan Importers/Buyers of Man-made Textile Products. The average share of these products from India is around 10%. The recent period has witnessed rise in demand from Kenya for garments made from synthetic fibre and yarn which are affordable and easy to maintain.

The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) plays a crucial role in helping overseas buyers to firm up an enduring and mutually profitable business relationship with Indian exporters of synthetic and rayon textile items.  The Council will continue to support and guide the buyers and importers in Kenya in the coming years to further the trade relations between the stakeholders in both countries.
